Upcoming Events
Join us at Green Box in beautiful Green Mountain Falls for inspiring arts experiences rooted in community and nature. From intimate performances to creative workshops and special events, our programs celebrate the arts in the heart of the mountains.
For rising 1st–5th graders, this two-week Green Box Arts Camp offers a process-based arts experience where children explore dance, visual arts, music, and theatre in a supportive and creative environment.
Artist in Residence Cory Feder will be bringing in guest speaker, Trent Segura and Adrienne Garbini of The San Luis Valley Colcha Embroidery Project (SLVCEP) to present on the history and development of colcha embroidery in Colorado’s San Luis Valley. Colcha embroidery is a textile practice that came to the Valley from northern New Mexico in the 19th century and was shaped by revival movements throughout the 20th century into a pictorial art that often illustrates local architecture, landscapes, community traditions, personal narratives, and folklore. The SLVCEP is a grass-roots community-led initiative that supports artists to teach and tend to vital community connections while celebrating cultural traditions. SLVCEP has led numerous workshops to educate and inspire many people (including Cory Feder) to continue the tradition of Colcha through their own historical narratives and artistic voices. Join us for an exploration of the intersections between community memory and tradition.
Tactile Poetry is a community engagement event featuring poetry reading and art-making. Participants will gather in the in-progress installation room with artist-in-residence, Ziba Rajabi, to participate in sewing textile art pieces and a poetry reading activity.
For rising 6th–9th graders, this two-week Theatre Outdoors! camp is designed especially for middle school students. Led by celebrated professional actors and clowns, the program welcomes participants of all experience levels—no prior theatre training is necessary.
Step into a world of imagination at our very first Parade Puppets Camp, where creativity takes center stage and kids become makers, designers, and parade performers. Designed for children ages 9–13, this hands-on camp invites young artists to dream up and build their very own parade‑sized puppet, culminating in a joyful march through the Green Mountain Falls 4th of July Parade.
Legend of light and space
Experience James Turrell’s Skyspace
Cosseted on a butte overlooking Gazebo Lake and bathed by the rustling of pine trees, the James Turrell Skyspace in Green Mountain Falls is a harmonious addition to our charming town at the foothills of Pikes Peak —an extension of the landscape, preserved in its natural setting. The experience begins with an inspirational journey via two new trailheads that deliver hikers directly to the sheltered Skyspace in the hills above, overlooking the center of town and Gazebo Lake.
Tickets are currently available for shows through April 2026.
