Artists of national and international stature, from diverse disciplines, and at any stage in their career, are provided opportunities to create new works while living in and engaging with the community. Applications now open September 4, 2024 through October 11, 2024.
October is Arts Month!
Green Box is excited to offer special programming for Arts Month, including two opportunities to attend a Sound Healing Journey with Judith Piazza in the Green Mountain Falls Skyspace, and an adult workshop on writing children’s books with author, Green Box’s final artist in residence of 2024, Mk Smith Despres.
Healing Sound Journey with Judith Piazza
Sunday, October 20 at 11:00am & 1:00pm. Each session will last approximately 40-45 minutes. Tickets are $15.00 each.
Reading & Writing the Picture Book
Join us on Saturday, October 26th from 2:00 - 3:oopm at the Green Box Workshop for this event. The event is free but requires registration.

Experience James Turrell’s Skyspace
Cosseted on a butte overlooking Gazebo Lake and bathed by the rustling of pine trees, the James Turrell Skyspace in Green Mountain Falls is a harmonious addition to our charming town at the foothills of Pikes Peak —an extension of the landscape, preserved in its natural setting. The experience begins with an inspirational journey via two new trailheads that deliver hikers directly to the sheltered Skyspace in the hills above, overlooking the center of town and Gazebo Lake.
Tickets are currently available for shows through November 2024.

Apply for an artist residency
Our year-round artist in residency program affords emerging and seasoned artists, working in all disciplines, time and space to work on their craft. Our residents are chosen through an application process that begins every September.
