This open studio presents an ongoing body of work about how images change when they move between different forms. I work with photography, video, AI-generated volume, painting and image transfer, and I am interested in what gets kept, changed, invented or lost during that process.

Developed between Manchester and Colorado, the work also looks at how a place can enter an image indirectly, through observation, memory, objects, materials and small details rather than direct representation. During the residency, I will continue developing the work in response to what I encounter in Colorado.

Rather than starting with a fixed outcome, I want the work to remain open to change. Across both still and moving images, I am interested in how visual information is transformed, and how an image can end up becoming something quite different from where it began.
