Green Box & Beyond Bike Tour

Sunday, July 6 from 8AM-12PM

Doug Crockett and the SoCo Velo Cycling Club invite you to celebrate the Independence Day Weekend by powering your own transportation and to share a different perspective on the Green Box Arts Festival via  bicycle.   We’ll ride on quieter paved roads through Cascade to Green Mountain Falls for a stop at the Green Box Arts Festival Office.  Riders will have the option to stay on paved roads for a shorter ride and explore the event venues in Green Mountain Falls or continue riding on a partial gravel road up to Woodland Park.  After a brief tour and refreshment break at Joanie’s Deli, we’ll return to the Wines of Colorado parking area for about a 20-mile round trip ride and 1,000’ of elevation gain.   Your own bicycle with rear lights and helmets are required.

Doug Crockett is a retired energy manager, Returned Peace Corps Response Volunteer in Mexico, seasonal resident of Woodland Park, and member of the SoCo Velo Cycling Club.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, Off the Beaten Path will be deinstalled slightly earlier than planned on Tuesday, October 14 (originally October 19). We’re incredibly proud to have shared this joyful, vibrant work by Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics with so many visitors, community members, and art lovers. Off the Beaten Path has been a true highlight of the season, sparking wonder and conversation for all who experienced it.
