Ikebana Workshop: The Japanese Art of Flower Arranging with Heidi Almosara

Through this workshop, participants will discover the beauty and pleasure of self-expression through Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging in which nature and humanity are brought together in harmony.  Participants will learn moribana, one of the traditional styles of Ikebana.  Instruction will be given to show the arranger how to create balance with fresh materials through the use of measurements, angles and space.  Provided everything a beginner needs to create their first Ikebana arrangement, participants will walk away with an assortment of fresh flowers. 

Heidi Almosara has exhibited her artwork in over one hundred exhibitions across the United States, as well as, Russia, Peru, Japan, New Zealand, Finland, Taiwan and Guatemala.  She is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has expanded into various forms of art.  Heidi has been an active member in the Colorado Springs art community since 2022 and currently teaches Ikebana at her studio, Yanagi Botanic Arts.
