Green Box Festival favorites, the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra, returns to present Buster Keaton’s The General with live music accompaniment.  One of the most revered comedies of the silent era, The General is a landmark film packed with breathtaking stunts, Civil War adventure, and Keaton’s deadpan brilliance.  Following a stolen locomotive and a runaway love story, the film remains one of cinema’s most inventive and enduring masterpieces – thrilling, funny, and visually unforgettable.

The Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra is a five piece chamber ensemble that revives the repertoire of silent film orchestras. Since 1994, Mont Alto has compiled and performed over 150 silent film scores.
