Oklahoma City Ballet

Sallie Bush Community Center

Founded in 1972, Oklahoma City Ballet is the city’s professional ballet company and a leading cultural institution in the region. As the resident dance company of the Civic Center Music Hall, Oklahoma City Ballet presents four main-stage productions each season in Oklahoma City, while also touring throughout Oklahoma and surrounding states to bring the power of live dance to broader audiences. Originally established as the Oklahoma City Civic Ballet, the Company was founded under the artistic direction of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo artists Yvonne Chouteau and Miguel Terekhov. Today, Oklahoma City Ballet continues that legacy of artistic excellence with a roster of 27 professional dancers and 39 Studio Company dancers representing talent from around the world. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye, Oklahoma City Ballet performs a dynamic repertoire that includes classical masterpieces, full-length story ballets, and its critically acclaimed repertory productions, showcasing works ranging from neoclassical ballets to world premieres. Through world-class performances, transformative education, and meaningful community outreach, Oklahoma City Ballet enriches lives across Oklahoma by fostering artistry, athleticism, and access to the performing arts.
